Tupac, Biggie, Tupac: A Timeline of the Kendall + Kylie 'Band Tees' Controversy

Unfortunately for Kendall Jenner, it looks like her and her sister Kylie's fashion blunder isn't going away anytime soon.

As Billboard previously reported, Michael Miller, one of Tupac's photographers, filed suit against the Kendall + Kylie Jenner brand back in July, alleging the sisters used his photograph without proper permission or licensing for their now-controversial "band tees". The t-shirts printed legendary rappers--Biggie and Tupac amongst them--on vintage washed cotton, super imposing Kylie and Kendall's faces on top of them. The shirts were taken down within hours of posting (June 29) when Biggie's estate lawyer, Julian K. Petty, threatened suit if they weren't removed before 5pm on Friday, June 30.

Now, another photographer, NYC-based Al Pereira, is filing suit against Kendall, alleging the same improper usage as the first photographer, Miller. Details on the papers filed are still undisclosed.

Biggie's mother, Voletta Wallace, had previously labeled the Jenners' foray into hip-hop fashion as "disrespectful" an Instagram post. "I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me," Wallace wrote. "I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt.  This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!"

In response to the initial lawsuit and threat of another one back in June and July, the sisters tweeted an apology to the estate of Biggie and 'Pac. Their camp also issued a formal response via Billboard that you can read here.

Billboard will update this post with more information on the Michael Miller and Al Pereira lawsuits when details become available.
